Excerpt:
Clarice was full of fire as she stood in the living room of Johnny Mac’s mansion. Five feet in front of him, her hand shook as she aimed her 9mm pistol at him.
“Clarice, what are you doing? This isn’t like you,” he said as he rolled his eyes. She was out of character with a gun in her hand. She’d always been a quiet, kind person. Even as a child she was obedient, soft and sweet. But, when she heard what Johnny was all about, Clarice couldn’t keep herself restrained.
“Don’t do it, Claire. It won’t change anything,” he said smugly as sweat began to bead up on his forehead. “It wasn’t my fault you were so easily fooled.”
Tears filled her eyes as he spoke. Johnny could conjure up and emotion he wanted her to feel, at any moment. Clarice was weak like that.
“You ruined my life, Johnny. You didn’t care about me. I lost my job and my reputation! You made a fool out of me and now it’s time for you to know the level of my appreciation.”
